I just watched the most recent DokiDoki Precure, and it was very interesting in many ways.
Here is something I noticed last week as well. When Cure Ace talks about the Five Vows of the Precure, she says, "First," each time before she cites one of the the vows, yet, each week it has been a different vow. I am watching with English subtitles, so I do not know what she is saying in Japanese. I am wondering if one of the girls here who knows Japanese can tell us what she is saying in Japanese.
I have some other random thoughts as well. In every one of the other series, I have seen, when a new Precure arrives, the opening and closing sequences has changed to include that new Precure. In this one, we have already seen 4 episodes with Cure Ace, yet, the opening and closing sequences have not changed to include her. Isn't that interesting?
Oh yes, I noticed that Cure Rosetta talks about the power of the Sun in her transformation. Her power is one of protection. It is also interesting that Cure Sunshine from Heartcatch Precure also had a power of protection. As far as I know, protection is not an obvious property of the solar principle, at least in the West. Although, is that really true, I wonder? The solar principle is associated with rulership, and one of the jobs of a ruler is to protect her subjects.
Lots of interesting things in this past episode. Heee...and article may come in a few days, but I thought that I might put out my random thoughts for discussion here for now.
