We started a Senshi page on the Mugbook. I tend to call it that as it is a form of its usual name but reflects what I perceive to be a general air of disreputability about the place. And that rather is the point. I think many of us see it that way. People say "you have to be on the Mugbook these days" so we dutifully made this page. The thing is, it only has three "likes" altogether, which means most of us right here don't like it. Or more likely we aren't on the Mugbook personally. Three likes looks a bit stringy really, doesn't it? Do you think we should get rid of the page? Or at least stop linking it from our main site?

The thing is people use Mugbook much differently than most sites - they're connecting to people they already know rather than meeting new ones. If one has a brick and mortar business one wants a Mugbook so that customers can easily recommend one to other potential customers. This is a more traditional topic-based forum, and I think topic-based social media such as Tumblr is where we should leave our calling cards.

I think it takes some time to get a presence on Mugbook. I don't think that it hurts to maintain a page there, even if there are only a few "likes." I really don't know for sure.
Our Senshi blog already has a presence on Tumblr. I am not sure whether we need an additional one.
I will be honest here, though. I really don't know very much about this type of thing, so I will defer to those who are more experienced in these matters than myself.

No, certainly promotion of the blog should be foremost. I was not suggesting creating a new presence on Tumblr, just that doing things like Tumblr were in the right direction. If we do want a Mugbook presence, I think sharing articles (there is a handy button for that right above where you comment) would be rather more to the point than a page that just sits there.

What you just said makes a lot of sense, Ocha-san. It does seem to be a better practice to share articles on Mugbook, rather than a static page. Thank you.

I tend to see our page on Mugbook as a little island of light in a sea of darkness for those who feel they are ready to come to that light.

Hmm. Cure Ocha-san, do you mean that we should paste articles into the Mugbook rather than just link to them?
I don't think we would write articles exclusively for the Mugbook as it doesn't seem many people go there (to our page, I mean).

No, Cure Dolly, I don't think so. What I mean is that girls who have their own personal Mugbooks (sumimasen, I have to in order to buy groceries, of all things!) could share the articles on their own timelines using the little button above the comments, like some girls have done with the Apple Seed, and then their Friends and Relations who appreciate such things would read the articles. If their Friends and Relations really like them, they share them too and little threads of shining harmony start spreading.

I believe that you are quite right, Cure Ocha. I have have been sharing the new blog, Temple of the Home, on Mugbook, and I have gotten a lot of comments already, and there have been discussions started on Mugbook about the topic.
I think that for this forum, it will be especially useful for those of you who have Mugbook "friends" who watch Anime to share Senshi articles. I have been sharing Senshi articles on Mugbook as well, but my set of Mugbook "friends" are not necessarily interested in Anime, so I am not getting the same amount of response.
I don't recommend Mugbook for anyone not already on it; however, those of us who are can shine a light in the darkness.
Oh yes, I have also changed my Mugbook profile in order to properly represent the Senshi there!
