I am pleased to announce that the Mashiro Tenshi-Approved Music Library is now open! What is the Mashiro Tenshi-Approved Music Library? I'm glad you asked! It is a thread dedicated to collecting only the best in Japanese music, from happy upbeat girl-groups to lovely ethereal songs on the koto and shamisen, all double-filtered by myself and Cure Dolly for maximum purity.
Here are the rules:
Videos themselves should only be posted to this thread by myself, Cure Dolly, or a moderator. Please do not post a video if you are not one of these people.
If you wish to suggest a song, please post the name of the artist(s) and the title of the song on this thread so that I, Cure Ocha, can look it up myself and see if there is a video of it that I think is worthy of inclusion in the Library. If I do, I will pass it on to Cure Dolly for her approval, and if she approves we will post a video of your suggested song for everyone to enjoy!
Please don't assume that because we approve one song by a particular artist or group that we will approve all their songs. AKB48 and Morning Musume are two immediate examples of groups who sing songs we love to bits and also sing songs we cannot in good conscience approve for the Library.
Don't be sad if your suggestion doesn't make it through the approval process. We don't expect they all will. Our standards are very high and it doesn't mean we don't like *you*.

Song: Sakura no Shiori Artist: AKB48 Notes: Our premier musical selection is some actual angelic maidens, complete with feathered wings and...are those furisode? Please skip ahead to just before the two minute mark; everything before that is just the girls getting ready. English subtitles are included in the video.

Oh I love this kinnie with all the loveliness of loveland with love sauce and sprinkly love-bits!
I wanted to put in Shokupanman's song. Shokupan is a real otokoyaku who happens to be - well hmm - a slice of sliced bread. All right that may seem a bit strange but she really is the best thing since - well, you know what! In fact she IS you know what.
The song is so martial and feminine at the same time and so jolly. But guess what? YouTube has g'doinked it. And I only discovered it a few days ago. Actually you CAN still hear it, but not in the lovely anime version, so I won't post it here.
It is like the sakura really isn't it? The fleetingness of beauty, I mean. The monoaware of YouTube. The shimmering gold that crumbles in our hands even as we gaze upon its lovliness and flows like water upon the brown earth and soon is not even discernible as moisture.
Well anyway. I'll post a different kinnie soon.
It would be almost sacrilege to post one right on top of the lovely sakura song anyway.
Even if it is the best thing since (´ ▽`).。o♡ you know!

All righty. No music library is complete without this. Greenies - no life is complete without this!
Sadly - owing to the monoaware of YouTube - the very best versions of this seem to have fluttered pinkly to the ground and silently withered. But I think you will enjoy this one very much.
If you haven't seen Ai Areba Koso before though, I do strongly recommend sitting down before you start the kinnie.
Song: Ai Areba Koso from Rose of Versailles Artists: Minoru Kou and Kouju Tatsuki from Takarazuka Revue's Star Troupe

Singing flowers! How adorable - you do have the loveliest adventures, Piffy-chan.
Let's see how you like this. A change of pace from the first two and what we call "hot music".
Forgive the quality - it came a long way!

Song: Happy Summer Wedding Artists: Morning Musume Notes: So different from the rebellious songs of the present day West! A song about love and marriage from the perspective of a grateful and obedient daughter addressing her parents. We know that many girls have had rather bad experiences with their birth families in this strange and frightening time, but if you can be grateful and obedient to your parents without doing violence to yourself, in this Cure's humble opinion, you should do just that!
